Children’s Yoga Classes

My yoga classes incorporate a series of breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and yoga poses. Programs are tailored for the appropriate age group.

Each yoga session will provide children with tools and tangible coping techniques, through breath work and yoga poses. These are designed for them to use in daily life, to help better manage stress, reduce distractions, mitigate anxiety, and promote self-love and acceptance.

Why Yoga?

The practice of yoga instills confidence, self-love and can reduce anxiety and nervousness. Yoga helps to increase calmness and improve mental focus while providing a physical outlet for children to express themselves.

Yoga also benefits a child’s growing body, helping to improve flexibility, physical strength and stamina. The practice of yoga can also help improve sleep quality and promotes a more positive mood and behaviour.

My Yoga Journey

As a Certified Yoga Instructor, I completed my studies at Sivasoorya Divine School of Yoga, in Kerala India in 2014. For the past seven years, I’ve been teaching children’s yoga.

I’ve taught a wide range of yoga classes including; adult, prenatal, mom & baby, and mom & toddler. My focus is on yoga classes for preschoolers, school-aged children, and adolescents. I’ve taught yoga at a variety of schools, daycares, community centres, and studios.
